You can check the signal strength on the device as well as in the app. Both options are only available if your device is connected to your account.
The LED indicator on your MagicTrap 2 Water not only shows you the remaining battery charge, but also indicates whether your MagicTrap 2 Water is successfully connected to the MagicScout app and how strong the wireless signal is at the installation site.
Important: If your trap is receiving a weak signal or only "EDGE," please relocate it so that it can reliably send images.
Checking the device:
As a general rule: The more blue LEDs on the top bar that are lit, the better your wireless signal is. To check, press and hold the function button on the side of your device until the LEDs start flashing:
- 1 blue light is on: Poor signal strength
- 2 blue lights on: Signal strength is moderate
- 3–4 blue lights on: Signal strength good–very good
Example: poor signal strength
Example: good signal strength
Checking in the app:
The app also displays the device’s signal strength.
Note: The displayed signal strength always refers to the last signal the device sent and may therefore differ from the actual signal strength (e.g., when moving the trap to another field).
