You can check the signal strength on the device itself or in the app. Both are only possible if your device is connected to your account.
The LED indicator on your MagicTrap 2 Water not only shows the remaining battery charge but also indicates whether your MagicTrap 2 Water is successfully connected to the MagicScout app and how strong the signal is at the location.
Important: If your trap receives a weak signal or only "EDGE," please move it to a different location so that it can reliably send images.
Checking the signal on the device:
Generally, the more blue LEDs on the top bar are lit, the better your signal. To check, press and hold the function button on the side of your device until the LEDs start flashing:
- 1 blue light lit: poor signal strength
- 2 blue lights lit: medium signal strength
- 3-4 blue lights lit: good to very good signal strength

Example for good signal
Check in the app:
The device's signal strength is also displayed in the app.
Note: The displayed signal strength always refers to the last signal sent by the device and may therefore differ from the actual signal strength (e.g., if the trap is moved to a different field).
