Generally, the MagicTrap 2 Water remains in deep sleep mode for most of the day. This means the LED no longer flashes.
The MagicTrap 2 Water turns off to conserve energy for cloudy or rainy days. It wakes up only at specific times to send a status update and/or an image.
The trap’s wake-up times are based on local weather data. On sunny days, they are as follows:
- 8 a.m.: Status (battery, signal, etc.)
- 12:00 p.m.: Status + image
- 4:00 p.m.: Status + image
- 8:00 p.m.: Status
Note:
You can view the trap’s future wake-up times at any time in the MagicScout app, but you cannot change them manually.
